Committed to ensuring equality for women around the world

We stand by women in Europe and around the globe with our commitment to the principle of equal pay for equal work, as we have done since the EU's foundation.

Since then, we have continued to lead the way and have made visible progress as we empower women in the fight against discrimination and gender-based violence. In 2017, there are more women in work, more women graduating from universities, and more women active in politics or in top positions at European companies than ever before.
